Is your equipment new?
Berlin Baby Gear buys equipment new from trusted brand names. Our gear meets regulatory standards and is certified by the TÜV/GS (Technical Inspection Association of Germany). We also try to choose equipment that has been tested by several independent consumer reports organizations.
How is your equipment cleaned?
Every single item is properly sanitized between each rental and then stored in a cool, clean storage area. We use as many non-toxic, eco friendly cleaning products as we can.
What is the Law in Berlin regarding children's car seats?
All children up to 12 years old or less than 150 cm (4' 9") tall are required, by law, to be buckled up in a car seat. Car seats need to comply with the newest EU regulation (the number below the “E” on the ECE label on your car seat needs to be 03 or higher).
When do I need to make payment?
Full payment is due prior to delivery. You can pay by bank transfer or via Paypal.
Do you charge for delivery?
Yes, there is a one-time charge that includes both delivery and pick-up. The charge will vary depending on your location. For your convenience, pick up of rental equipment can be arranged by appointment.
Can you deliver to the airport?
We strive to be as accomodating as possible to our traveling families however due to possible delays/cancellations and extra fees we prefer to deliver direct to your accomodation. If you have a special case, please contact us so that we may try to help you as best we can.
Can delivery be made prior to my arrival and items picked up after my departure?
Yes. Most equipment can be left with the front desk of your hotel before your arrival and picked up after your departure. We also deliver your equipment to private residences before your arrival provided we have a contact name and number.
How is delivery to our hotel arranged?
You will need to notify the hotel in advance, including the concierge, if any, that we will be making a delivery at your scheduled time and arrange for a delivery location. You will need to return all equipment to a predetermined location within the hotel clearly marked with “Berlin Baby Gear” and to notify the front desk staff at what time the equipment is scheduled for pick-up.
Is there a minimum number of days required for rental?
There is a three-day minimum charge for all gear except the kids bike trailer, which may be rented on a per day basis. All "three day gear" can be returned before the full three days, however the full three day charges will apply.
Is there a minimum order?
No. At Berlin Baby Gear we do not have a minimum order. Order as much or as little as you'd like!
